Shopping
The area is well served by three large hypermarkets. If you have never visited one of these complexes I would urge you to take at least one look inside these huge malls, it certainly brings a whole new meaning to one stop shopping. All the towns offer local produce and typically French goods. The craft market are a wonderful place to browse and buy your keepsakes and souvenirs as well. It is possible to visit a market somewhere each day of the week if that is what you enjoy.
Eating out
This is a delight and choice is so diverse there is sure to be something to suit every body. A stroll around Port Grimaud offers you an Italian restaurant, a specialist fish restaurant, a pizzeria, an Indian restaurant and cafes offering burgers, bolognaise and other fast foods as well as two very fine French cuisine restaurants. Strolling along the road you will pass Monroe’s, this is an English style pub offering an extensive menu from burgers and tagliatelle to steak and even a Sunday roast all to be washed down with lager, Guiness or even French wine. The venue has entertainment four days a week and really is worth a visit. At the top of the road you have a fine Chinese restaurant and takeaway, a Thai restaurant, a pizzeria and French restaurant. Stroll towards the other camp entrance and you will pass two more cafe style restaurants and more fast food outlets. You can see there really is something for all tastes. All the prices are reasonable and the food is delicious and well presented. In France eating out is an occasion so join in and enjoy it!!
